Abstract
This study was conducted to prepare fundamental data for improvement in working environment and health of workers in industries.
The concentration of organic solvents of 65 manufacturing industries in Ulsam area was. Measured from March to December 1993.
@ES The results were as follows:
@EN 1. Detection rate of organic solvents in manufacturing industries was highest in case of toluene (100%), and decreased in orders of xylene and methyl ethyl ketone (78.6%), isopropyl alcohol and benzene (42.9%), methyl isobutyl ketone, ethyl
acetate
and n-hexane (57.1%), butyl acetate (50%), cyclohexane (28.6%), methanol (21.4%), styrene, trichloroethylene and pentane (14.3%), acetone and others (7.1%)
2. The concentration of organic solvents mixture was exceeded in printing, coating, packing and reaction process of manufacture of chemicals and chemical products, dauda process of manufacture of fabricated metal products, expect machinery and
equipment, painting and varnishing process of manufacture of electrical machinery and apparatus N. E. C., spraying process of manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers, painting process of manufacture of other transport equipment
and
furniture ; manufacturing N. E. C.
The concentration of organic solvents on manufacturing industries was depended on working area, ventilation facilities, local exhaust and working process.
